Dr. Abdul Rahman Jazieh is Chairman of the Department of Oncology and Professor at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Riyadh, and Founding Director of the MENA Center for NCCN Collaboration, Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs. He earned his MD from Damascus University, an MPH from Tulane University, and completed fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, with American Board certifications in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. Formerly Professor and Division Chief at the University of Cincinnati, he has led international oncology initiatives and chaired ASCO’s International Affairs.

Dr. Taher Abu Hejleh is an American-board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist, currently serving as a Consultant at Abdali Hospital in Amman, Jordan. He completed his residency and fellowships in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology at the University of Iowa, where he also earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Investigation. With extensive clinical, academic, and leadership experience in the United States and Jordan, he specializes in thoracic, head and neck cancers, and blood disorders. Dr. Abu Hejleh also leads LCAM a regional initiative dedicated to advancing lung-cancer awareness, research, and standards of care across the MENA region.

Dr. Emad Anwar Dawoud is a Consultant Medical Oncologist in the Oncology department at Tawam Hospital since 2014. He completed his MD, Ph.D. in clinical oncology at the Federation of Royal Colleagues of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 2012. Dr. Dawoud graduated from Al Azhar University in Cairo in 1997 and was assigned as a lecturer of clinical oncology at the same university in 2010. He has been the principal investigator and co-investigator for more than 50 clinical trials and he published the abstracts in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Dawoud is a member of various associations such as ASCO, ESMO & ESTRO.

Dr. Mourad is a board-certified Consultant Medical Oncologist at Gulf International Cancer Center (GICC), Abu Dhabi. He previously served as a Consultant at King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan. Dr. Mourad has extensive experience in managing solid tumors with numerous certificates from prestigious institution and has participated as an investigator in multiple international clinical trials.

Dr. Khadiga Elfadil Ahmed Mohammed is a Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist at Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Center and University Medical City, and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Otago. With over 11 years of international experience across Oman, New Zealand, the UAE, South Africa, and Sudan, she specializes in breast, gynecologic, lymphoma, and rare tumors, with expertise in IGABT, IMRT/VMAT, IGRT, stereotactic radiotherapy, and complex interstitial brachytherapy. She holds an MBBS, an MMed in Radiation Oncology from the University of Cape Town, and the FCRadOnc-SA fellowship. Actively involved in research, education, and global oncology initiatives, she contributes to IAEA/RANZCR and multiple oncology societies.

Dr. Zeinab Abdul Razzaq Ibraheem Al Haddad is a highly experienced Radiation Oncologist with over 15 years of expertise in high-precision cancer treatment. Her clinical work includes conformal external beam radiation, IMRT/VMAT, stereotactic brain and body radiosurgery, and comprehensive planning for hematologic and solid tumors, including brachytherapy. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Baghdad and the Jordanian Board in Radiation Oncology. Dr. Al Haddad completed advanced training and a fellowship at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Georgetown University, focusing on specialized radiation techniques. She is also an active member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO).

Dr. Nadeem Abbasi is a distinguished Radiation Oncologist with an MBBS from Dow Medical College (1988) and an FFR from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (1996). He has been recognized for his exceptional service and leadership through multiple awards, including the JCIA Appreciation Award (2018), Best Service Award from the Pakistan Cancer Patients Welfare Society (2016), and the Distinguished Service Award from the Pakistan Society of Clinical Oncology (2014). His contributions to education and institutional development earned him the AKU Faculty Development Award (2007) and the Rec Dean’s Fund (2008–2010). He also represented Pakistan in IAEA-funded international projects in Bangladesh (2013, 2014).

Dr. Banu Atalar is a Professor of Radiation Oncology at Acibadem MAA University, Istanbul, with extensive expertise in stereotactic radiosurgery and MR-guided adaptive radiotherapy. She completed her medical degree at Istanbul Medical Faculty and residency at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, followed by a prestigious clinical research fellowship at Stanford University. A nationally board-certified radiation oncologist, she has served in key academic and leadership roles, including President-Elect of the Turkish Society for Radiation Oncology and ESTRO National Societies Committee Chair. Widely recognized with awards such as IDEA (ASCO) and H.FACR, she has over 70 peer-reviewed publications and is an invited speaker at major global oncology meetings.

Dr. Fatima Shaukat completed her MBBS from Dow University of Health Sciences in 2013 and her specialization in Radiation Oncology from Aga Khan University Hospital in 2021. She serves as a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at the CyberKnife and Tomotherapy Centre, JPMC, where she also leads Pakistan’s only Tomotherapy unit offering free treatment services. She has received multiple national and international awards and has authored three books along with several PubMed-indexed research papers focused on quality of life and financial toxicity in cancer care. As founder of the TEFF JSMU Chapter and cofounder of GVON.

Dr. Mohamed Shelan is a Senior Consultant in Radiation Oncology at Bern University Hospital, Switzerland. His clinical expertise spans genitourinary cancers, head and neck tumors, stereotactic radiotherapy, and oligometastatic disease management. His research focuses on local ablative strategies, robotic stereotactic technologies, online adaptive radiotherapy, and biobank-based biomarkers. He completed his Habilitation at the University of Bern and holds dual Swiss and German Radiation Oncology Boards. Dr. Shelan has led and collaborated on multiple funded research projects, clinical trials, and academic teaching programs. He is an active member of leading oncology societies and a peer reviewer for top radiation oncology journals.

Dr. Wael H. El-Sheshtawy, M.D., M.Sc., Ph.D., is a highly regarded Clinical Oncologist and the Head of the Clinical Oncology Department at Al-Azhar University in Egypt. He completed a fellowship in Radiation Oncology at McGill University in Canada, specializing in the use of advanced radiotherapy techniques for cancer treatment. His research spans various cancer therapies, including intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) for lung and brain cancers. Dr. El-Sheshtawy has published several influential papers, particularly focusing on lung cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer treatments.

Dr. Khalid Alrabiah, MBBS, FRCPC, DRCPSC, is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Riyadh. He completed his MBBS at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences KSAU-HS, followed by residency training at McGill University and fellowships in GI, sarcoma, and brachytherapy at Princess Margaret and Odette Cancer Centers, University of Toronto. Board-certified by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and the American Board of Radiology, he also serves as Deputy Program Director of the Radiation Oncology Residency Program. Dr. Alrabiah has extensive research and teaching experience, focusing on GI, GU, sarcoma, and liver malignancies, and is recognized for contributions to clinical practice, education, and workshops.

Dr. Aldehaim is a distinguished Radiation Oncologist who graduated with first-class honors from King Saud University in 2010. He completed residency training at the University of Toronto and a fellowship in head and neck and proton therapy at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Board-certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and the American Board of Radiology (DABR), he currently leads the Residency Training Program at KFSH&RC and serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Alfaisal University. A co-founder of the Saudi Arabian Radiation Oncology Society (SARO), Dr. Aldehaim is recognized for his clinical, educational, and leadership contributions while pursuing an MBA in International Healthcare Management.

Consultant radiation oncology at King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) since 2014. Holds Canadian fellowship in sarcoma and genitourinary cancers from Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto-Canada.
Served as a director for radiation oncology residency program at King Hussein Cancer Center, and active member of KHCC research council.

Dr. Wil Ngwa is Director of the Global Health Catalyst, a professor of Global Health and Radiation Oncology, and ICTU distinguished professor of Public Health. He is a chair of the Lancet Oncology Commission for sub-Saharan Africa and one of the leaders of the Cancer Moonshot Lancet Oncology Commission. He is a Rutgers Presidential Faculty Scholar and has held visiting professorships at the Universities of Heidelberg Germany and University of Pennsylvania. He co-directs the Africa-Oxford-Harvard-Hopkins (AfrOX-H2) Clinical Trials network. He is co-founder of the Global Oncology University, with an award-winning collaborative education platform that offers everyone access to the same world class education and training available at the world’s best institutions.
 
Dr. Ngwa has won over 35 prestigious awards/honors at Harvard, Johns Hopkins, from the United States National Institutes of Health, international professional societies and organizations, and foundations for his leading efforts in global health and innovation. He currently serves as an Advisor for the USA government on Global Health. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Buea, Cameroon; his masters and doctoral training at the University of Leipzig Germany, and clinical training at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Harvard Medical School.

Arjit Baghwala, MS, DABR, FAAPM, is a Senior Radiation Physicist and Lead Brachytherapy Physicist at Houston Methodist Hospital, Texas. He is a board-certified medical physicist with over a decade of experience in therapeutic medical physics and was awarded AAPM Fellowship in 2025. His expertise includes HDR and LDR brachytherapy, SRS, SBRT, IMRT, and VMAT, with extensive experience on Varian, Elekta, Gamma Knife ICON™, and CyberKnife platforms. Actively engaged in education, leadership, and research, he serves on multiple AAPM and ABS committees and is an Associate Editor for leading medical physics journals.

Dr. Ghada Aldosary is a Consultant Medical Physicist at the National Guard Hospital and an Assistant Clinical Professor at Princess Nourah University. She holds degrees from Carleton University, McGill University, and King Saud University, and completed her clinical residency at McGill University Health Centre, earning the Canadian Board of Medical Physics (CCPM) in 2016. An active clinical researcher and mentor, Dr. Aldosary is dedicated to advancing healthcare access, equity, and treatment standards in the region. She holds key leadership roles internationally, including Board Member of Medical Physics for World Benefit, Chair of the Arab Medical Physics Subcommittee (AAPM), and Council Member of MEFOMP

Ms. Iqbal Alamri is a Senior Medical Physicist and certified Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) from Oman, primarily affiliated with the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Centre (SQCCCRC). She is also a recognized regional faculty member and an active researcher in the field of radiation oncology and patient safety.

Zaheeda Mulla is a South African Radiation Therapist with over 20 years of experience in Saudi Arabia. Her responsibilities span clinical and administrative leadership, including staff appraisals, professional development, and performance improvement to enhance patient care, safety, and workflow efficiency. She oversees quality assurance activities, contributes to internal policies, and mentors students across multiple disciplines. Zaheeda is actively involved in research, serving as principal investigator on many published, collaborative studies. She also fosters a positive, supportive work environment with minimal staff turnover.

Hussain Almerdhemah is a Saudi Radiation Therapist with over 12 years of international experience in Australia and Saudi Arabia. A graduate of the University of Sydney, he currently works at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre – Jeddah. He has extensive experience across multidisciplinary radiotherapy departments, including dosimetry support, complex CT simulation, and advanced treatment delivery. Hussain leads several quality improvement and digital innovation projects aimed at enhancing work flow efficiency, treatment precision, and patient education. His contributions, along with multiple research publications, re flect his strong commitment to improving radiotherapy services and advancing patient-centred care.

Wsam Ghandourh is an Assistant Professor and Senior Radiation Therapist based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with over 13 years of experience across academic leadership, clinical radiotherapy, and research. He currently serves as Vice Dean of Academic Affairs at Umm Al-Qura University, overseeing academic strategy, faculty development, and research infrastructure. He holds a PhD in Radiation Therapy from the University of New South Wales and has extensive clinical expertise in advanced radiotherapy practice. His research spans dosimetry, palliative care, and automation in radiotherapy, with publications in leading international journals. He is certified by Saudi and Australian professional bodies and actively contributes to education, quality, and institutional development.

Luay is a Radiation Therapy Supervisor at King Hussein Cancer Center with 19 years of experience in radiation therapy. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Radiology, an MBA, and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Healthcare Management. In his current role, he oversees clinical radiation therapy operations and leads training and educational activities within the Radiation Therapy Department. He coordinates professional training through institutional agreements and supervises trainees sponsored by Elekta and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). His professional interests include radiation therapy education, quality assurance, leadership, and capacity building to support safe, high-quality cancer care services.

Omar is a Radiation Therapy Technologist (RTT) certified by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Originally from Canada, he has recently joined King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre. He is currently pursuing MRI certification through CAMRT, further expanding his expertise in advanced imaging and radiation therapy. In addition to his clinical role, he serves as an IAEA RTT expert, actively collaborating with the International Atomic Energy Agency to deliver education and training courses in radiation therapy. His professional interests include advanced radiation therapy techniques, MRI integration in radiotherapy, and global capacity building through education and training initiatives.

Sulaiman Salim Amur Al Suti is an experienced Radiation Therapy Manager at the National Oncology Center, Royal Hospital, Oman, with over 19 years of professional experience in radiation therapy and radiology. He holds a BSc in Medical Radiotherapy Technology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India, along with diplomas in Radiotherapy Technology and Diagnostic Radiography. His expertise includes advanced radiotherapy techniques such as IMRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT, and HDR brachytherapy, working with state-of-the-art Varian TrueBeam systems. He is actively involved in quality improvement, lean management initiatives, and professional development in oncology services.

Previously, they worked for five years at Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem, gaining extensive experience with Elekta and Varian radiation therapy systems. Their expertise includes advanced treatment techniques and complex radiotherapy modalities, working with Elekta HD, Elekta Synergy, Elekta Evo, and Varian Trilogy systems. With over 26 years of international clinical and management experience in Radiotherapy, he serves as the Deputy Superintendent & Therapy Radiographer at Prince Sultan Military Medical City in Riyadh, KSA. His work focuses on optimising radiotherapy work flows, advancing sta ff development, and strengthening patient-centred services. Known for his leadership, expertise, and commitment to continuous improvement, Mr. Shaikh Aakif actively contributes to service enhancement while remaining dedicated to learning from and engaging with multidisciplinary professional communities

Skilled in modern radiotherapy technologies and patient-centred care, he works con fidently within multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, precise, and compassionate treatment. Shagufta Tasneem is a Specialist in Radiation Therapy with 17 years of dedicated experience in the field. Holding an MBA in Human Resources, she brings a strong blend of clinical, educational, and administrative expertise. Her professional strengths include mentoring, teaching, research, quality assurance, auditing, and multidisciplinary team coordination. She has played a key role in sta ff and student recruitment, policy and procedure development, and the establishment of KPIs to support service excellence. Norah Albishi is a Superintendent Therapy Radiographer with 16 years of clinical experience in radiation therapy. She currently serves at Prince Sultan Military Medical City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She holds a BSc in Therapeutic Radiography from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, UK, and an MSc in Health Care Policy and Management (Managing Quality and Service Improvement). She has extensive experience with Gamma Knife technology. Over the past five years, her role has expanded to include complex radiotherapy procedures and leading initiatives to enhance service quality, work flow efficiency, and patient-centred care, playing a key role in developing.

A graduate of the Faculty of Medical Technology Holding a Master’s degree in Environmental Health with more than 20 years of experience in diagnostic and Radiation Therapy. I have obtained a training course (fellowship )from the (IAEA) on the use of modern radiotherapy techniques. The Benghazi Cancer Center has extensive experience in the field of radiation therapy since 1995, when it used to operate with a cobalt unit. We are currently using advanced techniques in the field of radiation therapy.

Bakr Aly Mahmoud Sayed is a highly skilled Radiation Therapist and IAEA-a ffiliated RTT Expert with over a decade of experience in advanced radiotherapy across leading oncology centers in Egypt and the MENA region. He currently serves as Supervisor Radiation Therapist at Saudi German Hospital Cairo, specializing in IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, and DIBH techniques. Bakr holds a Master’s degree in Radiobiology and has contributed to multiple IAEA missions in Rwanda, Uganda, and Syria, supporting quality improvement, capacity building, and clinical training.
