Neha Vapiwala, MD, FASTRO is President and Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. She earned her MD from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Vapiwala completed her residency and chief residency in radiation oncology at Penn. She has held key academic leadership roles, including Dean of Admissions and Vice Chair for Education at the Perelman School of Medicine. A leader in genitourinary oncology and medical education, she has served extensively with ASTRO, including as President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Chair of the Finance/Audit Committee.

Matthias Guckenberger University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland Matthias Guckenberger, MD, is Chairman of the Department for Radiation Oncology, University Hospital Zurich (USZ), and Professor at the University of Zurich (UZH). Integration of advanced imaging and radiotherapy into multimodality treatment of lung cancer has been a major research focus, especially stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for early stage NSCLC and oligo-metastatic disease. Safety and eicacy was evaluated in prospective clinical trials, in large multi-institutional and national patterns of care analyses. Mathematical and imaging-based modeling of tumor and normal tissue response to radiotherapy has been another focus. He currently serves as president of the ESTRO society.

May Abdel-Wahab, MD, PhD, FASTRO, is the Director of the Division of Human Health at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria. She leads a multidisciplinary team of nutrition specialists, radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, radiation oncologists, radiobiologists, and medical physicists to support Member States in strengthening cancer control and radiotherapy services. Dr. Abdel-Wahab is internationally recognized for her leadership in global oncology, capacity building, and quality improvement initiatives. Her work focuses on expanding access to safe, effective radiation medicine and advancing equitable cancer care worldwide.

Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu is a distinguished Nigerian paediatrician, women’s health advocate, and global leader in cancer control. As the President-Elect of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), she is poised to guide the world’s largest cancer-fighting organization, leveraging her extensive experience to advance equity in cancer care and prevention. A Consultant Paediatrician, she is the founder of the Medicaid Cancer Foundation and the Maternal and Reproductive Health Advocacy Initiative (MRHAI) in Nigeria. Her relentless advocacy focuses on improving outcomes for women and children, bridging critical gaps in healthcare access, and shaping policy both nationally and on the international stage.

Prof. Julie R. Gralow is the Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). A globally recognized leader in breast cancer research and care, she previously served as the Jill Bennett Endowed Professor of Breast Cancer at the University of Washington and held leadership roles at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Prof. Gralow is deeply committed to advancing equity in cancer care and founded the Women’s Empowerment Cancer Advocacy Network (WE CAN). She received the ASCO Humanitarian Award in 2018 for her global advocacy efforts.ssss

Hedvig Hricak, MD, DrMedSci, is an emeritus member of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and a global leader in radiology. She served as Chair of Radiology from 1999 to 2023 and as the Carroll and Milton Petrie Chair until her retirement in 2025. An NIH-funded investigator for decades, her research advanced evidence-based imaging, particularly MRI in gynecologic and prostate cancers. Dr. Hricak led major growth in MSK’s radiology, molecular imaging, and interventional programs. A member of the National Academy of Medicine and former RSNA president, she has received numerous international honors for leadership and global impact.

Andrew D. Maidment, PhD, has been selected as AAPM’s President-Elect. He will begin his three-year term in January 2026, first as AAPM President-Elect, then as AAPM President, and ultimately as Chair of the AAPM Board.
Dr. Andrew Maidment is a board-certified medical physicist and researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, where he serves as chief of physics for radiology in the University Health System and as an associate professor of Radiology. He is also co-director of the HHMI-NIBIB Interfaces Graduate Program in Biomedical Imaging and Information Sciences at the university, and recipient of the 2010 Special Dean’s Award for School of Medicine Teaching. Dr. Maidment developed the world’s first practical digital mammography system in 1993, commercialized as the Fischer Senoscan. Dr. Maidment has published more than 160 research papers, and has multiple patents pending or granted.

Dr. Mohammad Hassan Kharita is a distinguished Medical Physics and Radiation Safety Specialist with extensive experience in radiation protection, regulatory frameworks, and emergency preparedness. As Acting Executive Director of Medical Physics at Hamad Medical Corporation, he oversees medical physics and radiation safety across 16 hospitals in Qatar. He has served as an IAEA Radiation Safety Consultant on over 40 missions and previously directed research at the Atomic Energy Commission of Syria. Dr. Kharita holds a Ph.D. in Radiation Dosimetry and an M.Sc. in Applied Radiation Physics from the University of Birmingham, UK, and has led numerous international education and training initiatives in radiation protection.

Navid Madani, PhD, is a Senior Scientist in Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Department of Cancer Immunology and Virology, with appointments at Harvard Medical School in the Departments of Microbiology and Global Health and Social Medicine. Currently, she is the principal investigator on a study that is optimizing the application of a CD4-mimetic small-molecule inhibitor of HIV-1 infection as topical microbicides. Madani has applied a deep knowledge of research and scientific-based approaches to public health projects in the areas of cancer and infectious diseases in the MENA region. The SHE Center was born out of her past decade of work in the region — bringing together crucial stakeholders within key populations.

Dr. M. Saiful Huq is a Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Director of Medical Physics at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, both based in the United States. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and has authored over 187 peer-reviewed publications. He has delivered more than 242 invited talks worldwide, including many plenary and keynote presentations, and has served as an examiner for the American Board of Radiology (ABR), the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP), and the International Medical Physics Certification Board (IMPCB).

A Fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and the Institute of Physics (IOP), Dr. Huq has held numerous leadership roles nationally and internationally, including serving as President and Chair of the AAPM Board of Directors of AAPM.

Dr. Huq is passionate about transforming cancer care and reducing global health disparities, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries. He has spent decades advancing education, training, research, and equity in healthcare—improving lives and inspiring change worldwide.

In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Huq has received numerous honors, including the U.S. President’s Lifetime Achievement Gold Medal Award, the William D. Coolidge Gold Medal Award (AAPM)—the highest award in his field—the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Upstate New York Chapter of AAPM, the Global Health Catalyst Distinguished Leader Award, the Distinguished Medical Physicist Award from the Indo-American Society of Medical Physics, and the International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) Award.

Dr. Wil Ngwa joined ARPA-H in July 2024 from Johns Hopkins Medicine. He was the founding director of the Global Health Catalyst, and co-founder of the Global Oncology University. His award-winning career as a professor in global health and oncology has focused on smart radiotherapy and immunotherapy treatments and innovations for low-cost technologies and approaches to make health care more affordable. Ngwa has served as chair and on the editorial board of multiple scientific journals, and as advisor for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
He completed his doctoral work in physics at the University of Leipzig in Germany and postdoctoral and clinical training in radiation oncology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Harvard Medical School, blending expertise in medical physics, imaging, nanomedicine, and global health.

Professor John Armstrong is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist and currently serves as Chairman of the Irish Cancer Society. He completed his residency training at Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he also served as Chief Resident and later as an Attending Radiation Oncologist for five years. Professor Armstrong brings extensive expertise in modern radiotherapy and multidisciplinary cancer care. He is widely recognized for his leadership in oncology services, education, and cancer advocacy. His work focuses on advancing high-quality, patient-centered cancer care, strengthening cancer policy, and promoting innovation and collaboration in oncology at national and international levels.

Dr. Khalid Balaraj was initially trained in the United Kingdom. He has radiation oncology qualifications from - UK (FRCR (I), Ireland (FFR RCSI) and Canada (FRCPC). He has done 2 Clinical Fellowships from Canada, in Gynecology Brachytherapy and CNS Stereotactic Radiotherapy. He has worked as an Assistant Professor in Al Faisal University, Riyadh, as well as Consultant of Radiation Oncology, for 7 years, treating patients on the latest technology, including IMRT, IGRT, Tomotherapy, Rapid Arc and Cyber- Knife at King Faisal specialist Hospital, Riyadh. Dr. Balaraj has treated patients on international RTOG trials. He has been General Secretary of the Saudi Cancer Society and Oncology Advisor for the CME Oncology Program Middle East. Joined Tawam hospital as a chairman of Radiation oncology department on September 2011 Currently he is an assistant professor at UAE University and the chairman of Tawam hospital Oncology Services and the chair of oncology service line at SEHA.

Dr. Abdulrahman Bin Sumaida is a distinguished Radiation Oncologist with extensive experience in cancer treatment and research. He has pioneered innovative radiation therapy protocols and published widely in leading medical journals. As President of the Emirates Society of Radiation Oncology (ESRO), Dr. Bin Sumaida provides strategic leadership to advance radiation oncology practice across the UAE. His role includes guiding organizational vision, overseeing policies and professional programs, and representing ESRO at regional and international oncology forums. Through clinical excellence, research, and advocacy, he continues to contribute significantly to the development and standardization of high-quality cancer care in the Emirates and the wider region.

Dr. Mouza Al Ameri is a Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery at UAE University and Tawam Hospital. With over a decade of experience in breast cancer surgery and research, she is dedicated to improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of oncoplastic surgery in the UAE. Dr. Al Ameri currently serves as the Chief of the Breast Care Center at Tawam Oncology Center (SEHA), where she leads initiatives focused on enhancing patient care and empowering breast cancer survivors. She is the initiator of the UAE’s first Cancer Survivorship Program and co-founder of the country’s first Cancer Genetic Clinic, reinforcing the importance of early detection and personalized treatment strategies. In 2019, Dr. Al Ameri became the first physician elected to the UAE Federal National Council, serving as a strong advocate for healthcare policies and initiatives at a national level. Her tenure emphasized the importance of public health, cancer awareness, and improving access to advanced medical care across the UAE. Academically, Dr. Al Ameri holds a Master’s in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Manchester and completed a Fellowship in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery from the University of Cologne, Germany. She is also a University of Manchester Alumni Ambassador (2024), reflecting her dedication to leadership and continuous learning in the healthcare sector. Driven by a passion for breast cancer research, patient advocacy, and medical education, Dr. Al Ameri regularly lectures at national and international conferences. She remains committed to raising awareness, supporting survivors, and fostering resilience among patients and their families.

Dr. Faheem is a Radiation Oncologist at NORI Hospital, Islamabad, and an active collaborator with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He served as President of FARO (Federation of Asian Radiation Oncology). With extensive experience in modern radiation oncology, he is deeply involved in radiotherapy quality assurance, safety, and capacity-building initiatives across the region. His professional interests include technology-driven cancer care, workforce development, and strengthening radiotherapy services in low- and middle-income countries through international collaboration and policy leadership.

Dr. A. F. M. Kamal Uddin completed his MBBS in 1990 and DTCD in 1996, and in 2008 became the country’s first MD in Radiation Oncology. He served at the National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital from 1993–2010, followed by IAEA and UICC (ICRETT) fellowships at UPMC, USA, and the National Cancer Centre, Singapore. He is currently Associate Professor (CC) at NIENT, Dhaka, and a visiting consultant at multiple tertiary hospitals. A leader in regional oncology bodies, his interests include lung, urological, gynecological, and breast cancers, with expertise in precision radiotherapy and SBRT.

Sasa Mutic, Ph.D., FAAPM, is President of Radiation Oncology Solutions at Varian, overseeing R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and commercial operations for external beam radiotherapy, brachytherapy, and related software. With over 20 years of experience, he previously served as Endowed Professor and Vice Chair of Radiation Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine, where he led the Medical Physics Division. Dr. Mutic has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, holds multiple patents, and is a Fellow of the AAPM. He earned his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering and is board certified in Therapeutic Medical Physics.

In his former positions, Mr. Legrain served as the Chief Executive Officer at Scanditronix Medical Ab from 2001 to 2003.
He then became the Chief Strategy Officer at IBA Molecular Holding SA from 2003 to 2010.
He also held the position of President at Zevacor Pharma, Inc.Mr. Legrain obtained his undergraduate degree from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 1992.

Dr. Aly Abdel Razek

Dr. Abdel Razek, board certified in Radiation Oncology and Pediatrics, graduated from Cairo University and completed his residency at Washington University in St. Louis in 1976. He served as an assistant professor at Washington University and contributed to national oncology committees, including the Southwest Oncology Group and the National Wilms Tumor Committee. A Fellow of the American College of Radiation Oncology, Dr. Razek is the President of Medical Resources International and Executive Director of the Gulf International Cancer Center.

Dr. Jamal Khader, Consultant Radiation Oncologist at King Hussein Cancer Centre, head of the Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary and Thorax Radiaon Oncology services, and director of both the international extramural affairs office and the radiation oncology residency program.  
Dr. Khader served on the Union for International Cancer Control  board of directors from 2010-2012 and was re-elected for another two-year term in August 2012 at the World Cancer Congress 2012 in Montreal, Canada.

Dr. Abdulaziz Alghamdi is a board-certified radiation oncologist with specialized expertise in pediatric and adult proton therapy. He practices at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Riyadh, delivering advanced, patient-centered cancer care. He earned his medical degree with Second Degree Honors from King Saud University and completed radiation oncology residency at Queen’s University, Canada. He later pursued a prestigious pediatric and adult proton therapy fellowship at the University of Florida, USA. Dr. Alghamdi is actively involved in medical education, research, and national quality initiatives, with a strong focus on integrating cutting-edge technology and evidence-based practice to advance oncology care.

Cupid Chan is a Hong Kong–American entrepreneur, technology consultant, and keynote speaker with over two decades of experience in AI, big data, cloud, and DevSecOps. Dr. Ahmed Abdulazziz Alnajjar is a distinguished academician, consultant, researcher, and media professional, currently serving as Chair of the Psychology Department at United Arab Emirates University. He earned his PhD in Psychology from the University of Durham, UK, and was the first scholar from the Arab world to join the Social Psychology Network. In recognition of his academic leadership, he was listed in Who’s Who in the World (1999). Dr. Hussein Alkushi is the Head of the Radiation Oncology Department at Princess Norah Oncology Center, King Abdulaziz Medical City–Jeddah, under the National Guard Health Affairs. He oversees the clinical, operational, and strategic delivery of comprehensive radiation oncology services, ensuring high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. Dr. Alkushi leads a multidisciplinary team and champions the use of advanced technologies including VMAT/RapidArc, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, and brachytherapy. He is actively involved in strategic planning, quality assurance, staff development, and technology adoption. Dr. Yara Alkanash
a senior Medical Oncology Fellow with a strong commitment to multidisciplinary cancer care. Clinical and academic interests focus on integrating systemic therapies with radiation oncology to optimize patient care and outcomes. strongly value collaborative decision-making and the role of combined-modality treatment in contemporary oncology. actively involved in evidence-based clinical practice, clinical research, and medical education across solid tumors. Dr. Fatima Shaukat completed her MBBS from Dow University of Health Sciences in 2013 and her specialization in Radiation Oncology from Aga Khan University Hospital in 2021. She serves as a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at the CyberKnife and Tomotherapy Centre, JPMC, where she also leads Pakistan’s only Tomotherapy unit offering free treatment services. She has received multiple national and international awards and has authored three books along with several PubMed-indexed research papers focused on quality of life and financial toxicity in cancer care. As founder of the TEFF JSMU Chapter and cofounder of GVON.

Hikmat Abdel-Razeq, MD is Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Jordan and serves as Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Director General at King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), Amman. He is Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine and Director of both the Breast Cancer Service and the Clinical Cancer Genetics Program at KHCC. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology, Dr. Abdel-Razeq completed advanced fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic. He is an internationally recognized leader in breast cancer, cancer genetics, and cancer care in low-resource settings, with extensive publications, leadership roles, and global guideline contributions.

Ms. Iqbal Alamri is a Senior Medical Physicist and certified Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) from Oman, primarily affiliated with the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Centre (SQCCCRC). She is also a recognized regional faculty member and an active researcher in the field of radiation oncology and patient safety.

Dr. Yumna Ahmed is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at the CyberKnife and Tomotherapy Centre, where she leads pediatric oncology services and is actively involved in the management of childhood and women’s cancers. An alumna of Aga Khan University, she is trained in advanced radiation techniques and precision radiotherapy. Dr. Ahmed has published multiple research articles and remains engaged in academic and research activities. She has served on various professional committees and societies, contributing to professional development and oncology advocacy. Her clinical interests include pediatric, women’s, and child cancers, with a strong focus on safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care.

Dr. Maham Khan is a young radiation oncologist who completed her residency at Aga Khan University Hospital. She is keen to engage in ongoing learning and advanced training opportunities, with a strong interest in research. Dr. Khan actively participates in multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions, valuing collaborative, patient-centered decision-making in modern oncologic care.

I am a postgraduate student in Radiation Oncology  from MADRAS  MEDICAL COLLEGE, Chennai, India ,with a strong academic interest in cancer biology, radiotherapy techniques, and patient-centered care. My training has given me exposure to treatment planning, chemotherapy, and multidisciplinary oncology practice. I am keen on developing expertise in evidence-based radiotherapy and keeping updated with recent advances in oncology. I believe in teamwork, ethical practice, and compassionate patient care. Dr. Ahmed Mohyeldin is a Consultant Oncologist based in Cairo, Egypt, with extensive clinical experience in both Egypt and the United Kingdom. He is affiliated with the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, and practices at Ahmed Mohyeldin Oncology Clinics. Dr. Mohyeldin completed a prestigious Fellowship in Oncology in London and received advanced training at St. Luke’s Cancer Centre, one of the leading cancer institutions in England. He successfully passed the British Fellowship examination, a globally recognized and highly respected specialty certification in oncology. His career reflects a strong commitment to evidence-based cancer care, international training standards, and excellence in clinical oncology practice.

Wajid Khan is a dedicated Radiation Technologist with a strong foundation in laboratory sciences and clinical support. He completed his B.S. in Microbiology from FUUAST and has gained hands-on experience at leading institutions including Tabba Heart Institute, Patel Hospital, and Agha Khan University Hospital. Wajid is skilled in operating and maintaining complex medical and radiation equipment, performing precise diagnostic procedures, and ensuring accurate patient records.
